Game Introduction
Two Falls (Nishu Takuatshina) is a first-person single player, narrative-driven experience that presents contrasting perspectives on the first encounters between French settlers and Indigenous communities. Explore 17th century Canadian wilderness in this 3D linear game and experience the intertwining journeys of Jeanne, a shipwrecked French woman stranded far from the French colonies and Maikan, a young Innu hunter who is trying to find out what is disturbing his native forest, land of his ancestors. Two Falls is a game about Indigenous stories, created in collaboration with Indigenous creative minds. The composer (Eadsé), the art director, the writer, some actors and the 3D artists all come from various native communities from Canada. We also work with a Council of Elders composed of First Nations members. They advise, guide us and explain to us which versions of the story they want to put forward.
About the author
Unreliable Narrators is an independent Quebec video game studio. We create narrative games with a pretty straightforward goal: giving a voice to people we don't hear often enough. You can play characters with different perspectives and make choices to influence your story. With Unreliable Narrators, we have made it our mission to make games that will re-explore history through the point of view of the forgotten.
